About Me
My culinary career began in rather a roundabout way. At the University of Cincinnati College-Conservatory of Music, I received a BFA in Theater Design and Production, with a focus on costume design. That education would take me around the Midwest and Northeast, and finally to Broadway as a dresser on several award-winning and world-renowned productions. While in New York City, I decided to try a different path and attend the Art Institute of New York City, earning a Dean's List placement and a Certificate of Culinary Arts. Once this industry became my chosen field, I began sharing my knowledge and creating working partnerships with regional companies and organizations such as Jungle Jim's, the Cancer Support Community and local farmers’ markets, as well as national corporations like Williams-Sonoma and the NFL. I've been featured in the Cincinnati Enquirer, Cincinnati Magazine and on the Fox 19 Morning Show, among others. As a trained personal chef with a background in high level performing arts, I understand that food can be comforting and dramatic, nourishing as well as entertaining. It is my goal to bring joy to people through food, and whether I'm teaching a class, prepping a week's worth of meals or creating a magical dinner for a group of friends, I will strive to continue to do just that.
